Cinnamon House Digana DIGANA
Cinnamon House sits on a remote hillside off the Digana golf road, on a bare plot with nothing for company but a single old Kohomba tree and, in the distance, the Hunnasgiriya mountains. The architect who designed it, Pradeep Kodikara, built the whole house around that isolation rather than working around it: an approach road that winds through village huts and vegetable gardens before climbing a steep rocky lane, and then, without much warning, the view opens onto a branch of the Victoria Reservoir that floods wide in the rainy season and pulls back to reveal rock and reed the rest of the year.

- The property is fully staffed with a resident host couple who cook meals to order
- Boating, birdwatching, and mountain biking can all be arranged on the reservoir and surrounding hills
- The house sits at the end of a steep, rough access road; a 4x4 or careful driving is recommended for the final stretch
