Duwa House sits on a small river island a short paddle from Ahangama, close enough to the coast to hear the surf in the distance but built entirely around the water at its own doorstep instead. The name means island in Sinhala, which is less a flourish than a literal description: the villa occupies its own private plot on the Goviyapana river, reached by a quiet back road and then, functionally, by water. Colonial in style but tropical in temperament, it was built around a large pool rather than beside one, verandahs and open living spaces wrapping the water on every side.

Duwa is Sinhala for island, which is less branding than an accurate description of where the villa actually sits.

House Rules
- Minimum age for primary guest: 18 years
- Children welcome; interconnecting bedrooms suit families with young children
- No smoking inside the villa
- No events or functions without prior approval
- No pets permitted

Cancellation policy
- Cancel at least 30 days before your check-in date for a 50% refund
