What is KK Beach?
KK Beach is a contemporary beachfront boutique hotel with 10 ocean-facing suites on Habaraduwa Beach, 12 kilometres from Galle Fort on Sri Lanka's south coast. It is the sister property to Kahanda Kanda, the celebrated hilltop boutique hotel on a tea estate inland.
What room types are available?
Four categories: Deluxe Double (40 sqm), Suite (60 sqm with separate lounge), Penthouse (85+ sqm with terrace and bathtub), and Penthouse Suite (the largest, with private terrace, sun loungers, and ocean-view bathtub). All rooms face the ocean.
Is breakfast included?
Yes. A la carte breakfast is included daily, featuring Sri Lankan options such as egg hoppers and sambols alongside western dishes, tropical fruit, and fresh juices. Half-board and full-board upgrades are available.
Is the hotel on the beach?
Directly. The hotel sits on Habaraduwa Beach, a two-kilometre stretch of golden sand backed by palm trees. The pool, garden, and restaurant all face the ocean.
How far is KK Beach from Galle Fort?
Twenty minutes by car. The hotel can arrange transfers, and the fort is an easy half-day or full-day excursion.
Is there a connection to Kahanda Kanda?
Yes. A free shuttle runs between KK Beach and Kahanda Kanda daily. Guests can access the tea estate, hilltop infinity pool, spa, and dining pavilion at the sister hotel at no additional charge.
Is the hotel family-friendly?
Yes. Children of all ages are welcome. The pool depth is 1.5 metres throughout (no shallow end), so supervision is required for younger children. Cots are available subject to availability.
Can I swim in the sea?
The sea conditions vary by season. The hotel staff will always guide you to the safest swimming spots and keep an eye out while you are in the water. Body boards are available. The best months for calm seas are November to March.
