How far is Lily Pod Bolgoda from Colombo?
Approximately 40 minutes by car. Lily Pod Bolgoda is one of the closest luxury lakefront villa experiences to Colombo — genuinely reachable for a weekend without a long drive, yet completely removed from the city's energy once you arrive.
What water sports and lake activities are available?
The villa has its own speedboat, jet ski and kayaks, all available for guests to use directly from the private jetty. Boat rides across Bolgoda Lake, kayaking through the mangrove channels, jet skiing on the open water and fishing from the jetty are all available. Guided birding boat trips can be arranged on request.
How many guests can Lily Pod Bolgoda accommodate?
The villa sleeps up to 10 guests across five en-suite bedrooms - a master double suite, twin suites and a family suite. The configuration suits mixed groups, families and friend groups equally well.
Is an in-house chef included?
Yes. The villa has a full-time in-house chef who prepares daily meals including Sri Lankan cuisine, fresh seafood and international dishes. Grocery costs are covered separately by guests.
Can we access the lake directly from the villa?
Yes. The villa has a private jetty with direct access to Bolgoda Lake. The speedboat and kayaks depart from the jetty, and the freeform pool is positioned immediately above the water's edge, creating a seamless visual connection between the pool, garden and lake.
Is Celeste Bolgoda suitable for events and celebrations?
The villa can accommodate intimate celebrations and private events with prior arrangement. Please enquire with Ceylon Haven for specifics and any additional requirements.
