Rock Haven is a seven-bedroom beachfront villa on Dalawella beach, a few minutes south of Unawatuna town, where the garden ends at the sand and the Indian Ocean begins. Set across two buildings connected by a tropical garden and a large private pool, the villa accommodates up to 14 guests on an exclusive-use basis. There are no other guests, no shared spaces and no lobby. When you are here, this is simply your house by the sea.

How many guests can Rock Haven accommodate?
Up to 17 guests across seven bedrooms. The villa is let exclusively, meaning all seven bedrooms, the pool, the gardens and the beach are solely for your group. The main building accommodates six guests across three bedrooms; the guest wing accommodates eight more across four rooms, two of which have ocean views and balconies.
Is the beach safe for swimming?
The beach directly in front of the villa has strong currents and is not recommended for swimming. The reef-protected Dalawella lagoon, a short walk along the shore, is calm and safe. The villa team will point you there on arrival. It is also one of the best spots on the south coast for encountering sea turtles, which use the lagoon regularly.
Is an in-house chef included?
Yes. The villa's chef is available for all meals. Breakfast is included in the rate; lunch and dinner are available at an additional charge and can be ordered directly off the à la carte menu. Guests choose their menu and the chef shops accordingly. Sri Lankan feasts, hopper nights and BBQ evenings can be arranged as part of the programme. Dietary preferences and special requests are accommodated.
Can we do yoga at the villa?
Yes. Yoga sessions can be arranged through the villa manager, either in the garden or on the verandah. The garden is a particularly good setting in the early morning when the light is low and the beach breeze is still cool.
Is a spa available at the villa?
Yes. The villa has an on-site spa room offering massages and treatments, bookable in advance through the villa manager. Advance booking is recommended, particularly during peak season.
