What room types are available?
The Beach Home Rillamba has multiple ensuite bedrooms arranged across several floors, each with four-poster beds dressed in blue-accented white linen, air conditioning, and ceiling fans. Upper floor bedrooms open directly onto wide ocean-facing balconies with seating for morning coffee and evening sundowners. Some bedrooms have direct pool views from ground level. All rooms are air-conditioned with ensuite bathrooms. A large upper-floor sitting room provides additional lounge space between the bedrooms.
Is there a private chef?
Yes. A full staff team is included throughout the stay, including a villa manager, private chef, and housekeepers. The fully equipped kitchen is staffed and operational for all meals. Grocery costs are charged separately. The chef is experienced in Sri Lankan and international cuisine.
Is there a sandy beach?
The coastline directly in front of the villa at Rillamba is rocky rather than sandy, and the Indian Ocean is immediately accessible from the garden. Sandy Hikkaduwa beach, with its well-known reef, surf breaks, and coral sanctuary, is a short walk or tuk-tuk ride away. Hikkaduwa is one of Sri Lanka's most established beach and diving destinations and is minutes from the villa.
How far is The Beach Home Rillamba from Galle Fort?
Galle Fort is approximately 10 kilometres from the villa, around 15 minutes by road. The fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with 17th-century Dutch ramparts, boutique hotels, galleries, and some of the best restaurants on Sri Lanka's southern coast.
What water activities are available near the villa?
Hikkaduwa is one of Sri Lanka's most established water sports destinations. The coral reef sanctuary offers snorkelling and glass-bottom boat rides. Surf breaks suit all levels from beginner to experienced. PADI dive centres operate from the town. The rocky coastline at Rillamba provides direct ocean access from the villa garden. Koggala Lake, 25 minutes away, offers boat safaris through mangrove channels.
