Tide House sits directly on Habaraduwa Beach, close enough to the sea that the sound of it never really goes away. Designed by Sri Lankan architect Jayatillaka Sumangala, the villa was built with one clear priority: everything faces the water. Three ensuite bedrooms open onto a wide verandah, the pool, or the garden beyond, and a private gate leads straight from the lawn onto a stretch of sand that stays safely swimmable through the main season, December to April.
