Verde Ahangama is a three-bedroom beachfront villa on Kabalana Beach, one of Sri Lanka's most talked-about stretches of coast, where the garden ends at a private gate and the beach begins on the other side of it. The house is modern and deliberately understated in its architecture: two storeys, white render, clean lines, frangipani trees at the entrance. Inside, the palette shifts to teal and ocean blue, carried through the artwork, the cushions and the soft furnishings in a way that makes the rooms feel like they are in quiet conversation with the water outside.

How many guests does Verde Ahangama accommodate?
Eight guests across three bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom, air conditioning and ceiling fans. Some rooms have four-poster beds. All are spacious and all have been individually and consistently praised in guest reviews for their size and quality relative to comparable properties in the Ahangama area.
Is the beach directly accessible from the villa?
Yes. A private gate at the back of the garden opens directly onto Kabalana Beach. The garden and lawn between the pool and the gate are large; guests describe the transition from pool to beach as one of the defining pleasures of the property. The Kabalana beach break is a few steps further, and The Rock, one of Sri Lanka's best surf breaks, is a short walk along the shore.
Is an in-house chef included?
Yes. The chef and the villa team are available throughout the stay. Guests pay for ingredients plus a service charge; the chef shops fresh each day to your chosen menu. Sri Lankan curries, grilled fish prepared in banana leaf, fresh breakfasts and a variety of international dishes are all available. Guest reviews consistently cite the food and the team, particularly villa manager Malinga, as the highlights of their stay.
Is Verde Ahangama suitable for families with children?
Yes. The three separate bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms give families genuine privacy. The large lawn and the beach are both accessible and well suited to children. The villa team is experienced with family groups. Parents and guardians are advised to supervise children at all times near the pool and the beach gate.
How far is Galle Fort?
Thirty minutes by car. The villa manager can arrange tuk-tuks or private transfers. Most guests make at least one visit; many go twice, once to explore and once for an evening dinner inside the fort walls at sunset.
