Villa Ahasa AHANGAMA

Starting from $1300
6 guests
3 rooms
3 bathrooms

Villa Ahasa sits at the edge of a long golden beach on Sri Lanka's southern coastline, in the quiet coastal village of Habaraduwa between Galle and Koggala. Designed by celebrated Sri Lankan architect Channa Daswatte, the property blends tropical modernism with the kind of interior confidence that comes from knowing exactly what a beach house should feel like. White-washed walls, natural timber, antique accents sourced from across the island, and a palette drawn entirely from the surrounding ocean and garden. It is calm, precise, and very easy to settle into.

Frequently asked questions

Check our FAQ for details on villa

What is Villa Ahasa?
Villa Ahasa is a three-bedroom beachfront villa on the southern coast of Sri Lanka, located in the coastal village of Habaraduwa near Koggala. Designed by Sri Lankan architect Channa Daswatte, the villa sits directly on the beach with an 18-metre private infinity pool, full staff, and an open-sided dining pavilion. It is part of the Chatham Collection, a group of three neighbouring properties that can be combined for larger groups.
What room types are available?
Villa Ahasa has three ensuite bedrooms. The master suite is on the upper floor with a king four-poster bed, walk-in dressing room, sea-view bathtub, and a private veranda overlooking the Indian Ocean. The second upstairs bedroom has twin four-poster beds (convertible to a king) and connects directly to the master, making it ideal for families. The ground-floor bedroom has a king four-poster bed, twin-basin bathroom, and both an indoor and outdoor shower set among tropical planting. Both upper bedrooms share a wide covered veranda with uninterrupted ocean views.
Is breakfast included?
Breakfast is available daily and prepared by the resident private chef. All meals, including lunch and dinner, can be arranged from a menu agreed with the chef. The kitchen team is experienced in both Sri Lankan and international cuisine.
How far is the beach?
The beach is directly accessible through the garden gate. Habaraduwa's golden coastline begins at the bottom of the villa's tropical garden. No road crossing, no walk, no transfer required.
How far is Villa Ahasa from Galle Fort?
Galle Fort is 14 kilometres from Villa Ahasa, approximately 25 minutes by road. The fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most compelling heritage destinations in Asia, home to colonial-era Dutch ramparts, boutique hotels, galleries, cafes, and some of the best restaurants on Sri Lanka's south coast.
Can I book Villa Ahasa with Villa Sulanga?
Yes. Villa Sulanga is the neighbouring twin villa, built directly alongside Villa Ahasa by the same architect to the same standard. Both villas can be booked together for larger groups or extended families, combining to sleep up to 12 guests across six ensuite bedrooms, with two private pools and two full teams of staff.
Is Villa Ahasa family-friendly?
es. The connecting door between the master suite and the second bedroom makes Villa Ahasa particularly well suited to families. Extra beds can be arranged. The garden is spacious, the beach is directly accessible, and the chef will adapt menus for children. Maximum occupancy is six guests, with additional guests possible by prior arrangement.
