How many people does Villa Bleu accommodate?
Four adults and two children. The master suite upstairs has a four-poster king bed and a private terrace. The sleeping nook adjacent to the master suite has a double mattress with air conditioning, suited to children or additional guests. The ground floor guest suite has a queen bed and direct access to the pool terrace. All sleeping areas have ensuite bathrooms or access to a bathroom on the same floor.
Is the beach safe for swimming?
The beach directly in front of the villa has strong currents and is not recommended for swimming. The reef-protected Dalawella lagoon, a five-minute walk along the shore, is calm and safe, and is one of the best spots on the south coast for encountering sea turtles. The villa team will point you there on arrival.
Is an in-house chef included?
Yes. The chef is on duty from 7am to 10pm and prepares meals from a Western, Asian, vegetarian and children's menu. Breakfast is included in the rate; lunch and dinner are available at an additional charge covering ingredients plus a service charge. Special dietary requirements and preferences are accommodated; just let the team know on arrival.
Can Villa Bleu be combined with the villa next door?
Yes. Rock Haven is directly adjacent to Villa Bleu and the two properties are frequently booked together by larger groups. Combined, they accommodate up to 18 guests across nine bedrooms, sharing a continuous beachfront garden and access to both pools. Contact Ceylon Haven for combined pricing and availability.
How far is Galle Fort from Villa Bleu?
Twenty minutes by car. The villa is well-positioned for day trips into the fort: arrive in the morning before the crowds, spend the afternoon in the restaurants and boutiques inside the walls, and return in time for sunset by the pool.
Is the pool suitable for children?
Yes. The pool is in the garden and directly accessible from the ground floor. The villa team is on-site and attentive. There is also a children's menu, a sleeping nook designed for younger guests and a small fish pond in the garden that has been a consistent highlight for families with young children, according to guest reviews.
