What are the five bedrooms?
Two River View rooms, one on the second floor and one on the third, have floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies facing the Kalu Ganga directly. The Forest View room on the second floor overlooks the dense forest canopy on the far bank of the river. Two Garden View rooms, one on the ground floor and one on the second floor, face the pool and tropical garden. All five rooms are air-conditioned with ensuite bathrooms and flat-screen televisions. The villa sleeps up to twelve adults across the five rooms.
How far is Kurokawa from Colombo?
The villa is approximately 38 kilometres from Colombo city centre, around 30 minutes by road. Bandaranaike International Airport is approximately 45 kilometres away, around 45 minutes depending on traffic. The location makes Kurokawa a practical choice for guests flying in and out of Colombo who want to be outside the city without committing to the longer drive down the south coast.
What is the rooftop bar like?
The rooftop bar is a fully equipped, neon-lit space that sits at the top of the three-storey building with open-air views over the surrounding canopy and river. It has bar seating, lounge chairs, and a karaoke setup, and functions as the main social space of the villa once the sun goes down. It is the detail that most groups describe as the feature that pushed an already good stay into a memorable one.
Is there a chef and what kind of food is served?
Yes. An in-house chef prepares meals to order throughout the stay, covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The kitchen adapts to dietary requirements and preferences with advance notice.
